Do you have a wiggly group of three year olds? A curious team of four year olds? Are your five year olds getting tired of Old McDonald, finger painting and Follow the Leader? Our early childhood specialists spark the creativity of young children, engage imaginations, and give children a chance to express boundless energy. Our assembly programs are a great way to introduce new art forms to your students—from African folktales to American folk songs to charming puppet renditions of Aesop’s fables. Children dance in their seats, move to the beat, laugh, sing and join an exciting imaginary adventure. Our assembly artists bring a delightful and loving presence to your school, and make everyone—teachers and parents included—feel like a kid again. Giggles and wiggles abound! A sense of playfulness, exploration and unlimited curiosity are all a part of being a preschooler. To give children a chance to tap into their talents, our artist-in-residency programs motivate children to make beautiful, original works of art in various disciplines—movement and dance; percussion and music; printmaking or collage; and dramatic play and storytelling. Not merely follow-along experiences, our artists introduce children to techniques, skills and materials guide them to make something new and fresh. For a long term impact, consider professional development for your teachers and staff. Our award winning programs, Creative Beginnings and Family Arts and Creativity, bring rich, authentic arts experiences to children, teachers and parents and leave a lasting impression on young minds and hearts. Creative Beginning and Family Arts share a common goal—to train teachers and staff to deliver authentic arts experiences to their school communities. These programs are designed for teachers with little or no arts background. Anyone can learn to bring rich and rewarding arts experiences to children and families. For lesson plans to inspire your practice, join our Teacher’s Lounge. It’s chock full of great ideas for the classroom and home. Our Ask the Artist area is where you can ask one of our professional artists for advice.
